NIFT Gandhinagar Recruitment 2014 Machine Mechanic, Assistants
National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) Gandhinagar invites applications for the post of Machine Mechanic, Junior Assistant and Library Assistant on Contract Basis. The last date for receipt of application is 15th July 2014.
About: NIFT (A Statutory Body under NIFT Act, 2006) Setup by the Ministry of Textiles, Govt. of India.
Age Relaxation –> 5 years in case of NIFT Employees and deserving candidates possessing higher educational qualifications/ experience.
Qualification & Experience:
Junior Assistant ->
(a) Passed 10+ 2 examination from a Board or its equivalent recognized by the Govt.
(b) Diploma /
(c) Have a speed 30 wpm in Hindi / English Typing.
(d) Proficiency in Computer Application with Lotus, Word Star, MS Word, MS Office, excel.
Library Assistant ->
(a) Graduate from a recognized University / Institution.
(b) Diploma in Library Science.
(c) At least 1-year assistance in a well established Library.
Machine Mechanic ->
(a) Diploma/Certificate from ITI as Fitter in related areas or its equivalent diploma/ certificate recognized by the Government.
(b) At least 3 years experience in repair and maintenance of cutting/sewing/finishing machines in garment production concerns.
Selection Process: Written Examination. The written test will be followed by Psychometric/Skill/Technical Test and Interview of the eligible candidates. The Institute reserves the right to admit only that many candidates as considered necessary for Skill / Technical test based on the performance of candidates in the written test.
